Vesta and the Dangerous Words-by Allison Butler
Once upon a time in a world full of hatred and loneliness there was a beautiful goddess of the name Vesta.
Now Vesta wasn’t your average goddess. She had one problem, she was never given the gift of talking. She wanted to so badly, but the word bubbles just never worked.
Vesta was walking into her town one day, and she heard the chaos of destruction. Things were falling, making loud noises, and caused Vesta to run away scared.
Vesta the next day, came back to the town and saw that everyone was dead. This made her very angry. She saw in the distance a man laughing.
She was amazed that someone could be laughing at this horrible deed. She ran towards the man and tried to talk, and nothing happened. After many tries to talk she felt the feeling of words building up.
As she felt it build up more and more she was realizing that she was screaming. As she was yelling, she saw that the guy was shrinking. She kept screaming and the man turned to dust. Complete and utter dust.
After doing that she never wanted to talk again for she feared that she would kill anyone that she talked to.
