12:16 pm: The Blue Marble is finally out of sight. It has been 7 days since departure. Jimmy and I, since grade school, have always fantasized about being heroic astronauts that would traverse the cosmos. Being the first individuals to make the eight-year voyage to Pluto is as exciting as it is terrifying. This could easily be a Neil Armstrong-level step in society or a one way ticket to Hell.
My entire life was a jigsaw puzzle, with a missing piece. It’s becoming hard for me to accept that my picture will not be complete. I push myself to be picture perfect, but that’s impossible, especially when I look at all of the mistakes I made. At this point in time, I don’t know why those mistakes were made; they were idiotic, but you can’t get a hot tub and go back in time.

...Her friends all looked at each other. Rebecca then grabbed Valerie’s hand and pulled her away from the house and said, “This house is cursed. Don't go in it whatever you do. 20 families had lived in that house. A day later they were reported died. No one ever found their bodies. One boy around the age of 15 was with his friends and they dared him to go into that house. 20 minutes later all you heard was his scream, then nothing else.”
50 miles out, 20 ships start the journey toward Iwo Jima. Hardly any clouds in the sky, the sun shining down guiding the soldiers. Now 2 minutes out the soldiers get ready for their battle. The waves smashing against the side of the boat are ignored by the soldiers. Their captain was screaming out a pep talk. Feeling of the boats hitting the sand, signals the driver to drop the door. Sand splashes up towards the troops like an explosion as the doors of the boats drop...
The invasion of Normandy took place on June 6th 1944, and Jerry O'donnell witness this in first person. Jerry joined the Marines in 1941 right after Pearl Harbor. He was just one of the many many other angry Americans after this. During normandy he was 21 he joined when he was 18. Here we will start into the story...
